Purchasing Course Materials

The NDSCS Bookstore offers convenient options for obtaining your required course materials. Whether you prefer to visit the campus bookstore or the online bookstore, the NDSCS Bookstore staff provides a friendly shopping experience for NDSCS students and guests.

What do I need to bring with me when purchasing course materials at the NDSCS Bookstore?
Please bring your NDSCS Student ID Card, a PRINTED copy of your course schedule, or access your NDSCS Student Account online.

Can I order my course materials online and have them shipped to my home?
Absolutely! Shop this site from the convenience of your home or office and have your course materials shipped to you! Create an account, add your textbooks to our shopping cart and choose your desired shipping method.

If I order my course materials online, when I can expect to receive them?
Typically all online orders received after 9 a.m. will be processed the NEXT business day. Please note that processing times vary due to the availability of inventory and during peak times of the semester. The NDSCS Bookstore is closed on Saturday, Sunday, and College Holiday Breaks. All online orders received during the weekend are processed on the next regular business day. Once your shipment is processed, tracking information will be forwarded to the email address attached to the order. Orders shipping outside the continental United States (this includes Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico) are subject to additional shipping charges. Shipping charges are NOT eligible for a refund.

Can I order my course materials online and pick them up when I arrive at the Wahpeton Campus?
Yes, you sure can! The NDSCS Bookstore offers FREE in-store pickup at the Wahpeton Campus. After your order is submitted, allow 1 business day for processing. You will receive an email and pick up your order through the package lockers located down the bookstore hallway.

Can I order my course materials online and have them delivered for FREE to NDSCS Fargo?
Yes, you sure can! Allow 2 - 3 days for order processing and orders can then be picked up at the reception desk. You may call NDSCS Fargo at 701-231-6910 to confirm your order is ready for pick-up.

How do I find out which textbooks I will need and how much my course materials will cost?
Textbooks are required for most NDSCS courses. Course material requirements, including price, is available on this site. You will select the term, department, course number and section of the courses that you are enrolled in. Or, you can link to the Bookstore website from your NDSCS CampusConnection account. Once logged into your account, simply click My Textbooks under the Student Tab. Your personalized course material list will automatically populate for you based on courses that your enrolled in.

How can I pay for my textbooks at the NDSCS Bookstore?
The NDSCS Bookstore accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and NDSCS Gift Cards.

Can I charge my course materials to my student account?
FINANCIAL AID - Students who have completed the FAFSA and qualify are eligible to charge their course materials and supplies. Financial aid recipients who have a credit on their student account after tuition, course fees, residential life, and meal plan fees have been applied may charge course materials and supplies to the amount of the remaining credit.

  • Financial Aid covers all required and optional textbooks and course supplies such as pens, pencils, paper, calculators, backpacks, etc. Clothing and gift merchandise cannot be charged financial aid.
  • Shipping charges can be applied to financial aid.
  • During the checkout process, students should select CAMPUS CHARGE ACCOUNT as their payment.
  • When renting textbooks, students will be prompted to provide credit card information during the checkout process. The credit card will only be charged in the event that rental textbooks are not returned at the conclusion of the semester.
THIRD PARTY - Students may charge their textbooks and course supplies to a Third Party Payee such as an employer or government agency. Prior written authorization to charge to a Third Party Payee must be on file in the Business Affairs Office before students are allowed to charge.

What do I do if a book is unavailable through the NDSCS Bookstore?
Occasionally books are unavailable when you first attempt to purchase through the NDSCS Bookstore. In most cases the book has not arrived yet from the vendor, or it has sold out. If a textbook that you need is out of stock, we encourage you to pre-pay for it to ensure you receive a copy when it is received from our vendor. Class attendance is still required... even if you do not yet have the textbook!
